Obituary

Marie Cox Hall, 92, of Plainview, passed away on Nov. 6, 2013, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, in the Family Life Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the funeral home. Marie was born on May 29, 1921, to L.P. and Lillie Cox in Hale County. She graduated from Plainview High School and later attended Lippert's Business College. She married T.G. "Grady" Hall on June 9, 1946, in Plainview. She worked for Farmers Home Administration for 40 years as an administrative assistant and later worked for Plains Federal Credit Union as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Leota Hardgrove's Sunday school class and Hale County Historical Commission. She is preceded in death by her husband, T.G. "Grady" Hall; her parents; and two brothers, Carroll and Glenn Cox. She is survived by her children, Tom Hall and wife Linda of Plainview, Carol Lawrence and husband Curtis of Canyon, and Bobby Hall and wife Laurie of Lockney; grandchildren, Justin Lawrence and wife Angela of Amarillo, Jenny Rosetta and husband Randy of Baton Rouge, La., Jarrod Lawrence and wife Nicole of Midland, Texas, Alexis and Lucas Hall, both of Plainview; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Ethan Lawrence, Mallory and Darby Rosetta; and one nephew, Bill Cox of Gainesville, Texas.
