Obituary

Funeral services for Scottie Newt Haley, 55, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Karl King, minister of Garland Street Church of Christ, officiating, assisted by J.W. Hamby. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Haley died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2002, in Amarillo. He was born June 22, 1946, in Plainview and graduated from Hale Center High School in 1964. He went to electronics school in Oklahoma City, Okla., and then attended Lubbock Christian College. In November 1966, he joined the U.S. Air Force for four years and then served in the Reserves for two years. In 1970, he moved to Plainview and worked at Miller?s Flying Service for 17 years. In 1987, he moved to Abilene and worked at Abilene Aero. He returned to Plainview in 1999. Survivors include his mother, Earline Haley of Plainview; son sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Ronnie Jensen of Guymon, Okla.; and a niece, Melissa and husband Charles Campbell of Guymon, Okla.
