Obituary

Barbara Ann Hale, 75, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning, the Rev. Don Robertson and Dr. T. Coe Branch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Hale was born May 24, 1933, in Preston, Okla., to Clyde and Daisy Boss. She graduated from Okmulgee High School and from Oklahoma State where she received a degree in accounting. She married James A. Hale on Aug. 11, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. They moved to Plainview in 1963. She worked at American Grain, Wilson Brothers and EMCO before retiring in 1986. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and friend who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, James A. Hale; two sons, Jim Hale and wife, Laura, of Omaha, Neb., and Mark Hale and wife, Kate, of Plano; one daughter, Terri Higgins and husband, Ross, of Plainview; two brothers, David Boss and wife, Judy, of Monument, Colo., and Jimmy Lee Boss and wife, Liz, of Spokane, Wash.; one brother and sister-in-law, Adrian Hale and wife, Carole, of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren, Alex Hale, Alyssa Hale, Anna Suzette Hale, Lauren Hale, Melissa Higgins and Amy Higgins; and one great-grandchild, Isabella Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Juanita Allison; one brother, Clyde Boss Jr.; and a nephew, Pat Boss. The family suggests memorials to Salvation Army, Boy Scouts and American Cancer Society.
