Obituary

A memorial service for Cleta Evelyn Hailey, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating. Her body was donated to Texas Tech Medical Service Center. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hailey died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Dec. 23, 1920 in Lakeview to Hazel Richard and Mary Lois Bownds Wallace. Mrs. Hailey graduated from Lakeview High School in 1937 and moved with her family to Dalhart in 1938. She then moved to California where she lived for 60 years. Mrs. Hailey moved to Plainview in March 2005 and was a resident of Plainview Healthcare Center. Survivors include one daughter, Olivia Sue Ruiz of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Robert Wallace of Weiger, Idaho and Herb Wallace of Plainview; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
