Obituary

Funeral services for Charley M. Haile, 84, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Haile died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Carillon Health Center in Lubbock. He was born June 6, 1920, in New Mexico and married Laverel Holley on Jan. 19, 1978. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He and his wife owned and operated Charley's Bikes & Trikes in Plainview for several years. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Kris Porter and wife Teresa of Shallowater; and a grandson, Kevin Porter. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
