Obituary

Funeral services for Esteban Campos Gutierrez, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Gutierrez died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 4, 1924 to Pilar Gutierrez and Petra Campos Gutierrez in San Juan. He served his country with the U.S. Army then later transferred to the U.S. Air Force to finish his duty. He was member of the American Legion and the VFW. After his tour with the military, he worked for many years in the upholstering department at Maggard-Nall Motor Co. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe Gutierrez of Plainview; five daughters, Rachel Gillam of Youngstown, Ohio, and Ann Aguirre, Rebecca Sterling, Bertha Gutierrez and Delia Gutierrez, all of Plainview; six sons, Daniel Hernandez of Houston, Arthur Loredo, Esteban Gutierrez Jr., David Gutierrez, and Daniel Gutierrez, all of Plainvew, and David Gutierrez Jr., of Borger; 32 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
