Obituary

Eddie Joe "Sonny" Guffee, Jr., 46, of Troy, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at his home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with the Rev. Wade Killough officiating. Burial was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Guffee was born Nov. 21, 1960, in Plainview, Texas, the son of Eddie J. Sr. and Patricia Guffee. He married Kathleen Wilson on April 4, 1994, in Christiansburg, Va. He managed Temple Iron and Metal for more than 14 years. He attended Troy United Methodist Church in Troy. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Wilson of Troy, Texas; and parents, Eddie and Patricia Guffee of Plainview, Texas. Visitation was held Monday, July 30, 2007, from noon-5 p.m. and Tuesday, July 31, 2007, from 9 a.m.-noon. The family suggests memorials to Troy United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 9, Troy, TX 76579.
