Obituary

Funeral services for Lazaro Guerra, 38, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at San Juan Methodist Church of Plainview. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A celebration service will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Guerra died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in Beaumont. He was born May 29, 1970, in Harlingen to Enrique Guerra and Josefina Salazar Guerra. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1989. He worked as a millwright at M&M Welding for 13 years. Survivors include one son, Lazaro Abel Guerra of Plainview; one daughter, Debbie Guerra of Plainview; four brothers, Balerio Guerra of Corpus Christi, Mario Guerra of Plainview, Ernesto Guerra of Irving and David Guerra of Amarillo; five sisters, Maria D. Olson of Plainview, Sandra Porter of Colorado Springs, Colo., Diana Guerra of Corpus Christi, Elisa Luna of Robstown and Sylvia Orozco of Liberal, Kan.; and his ex-wife, Carmen Hernandez of Plainview. His parents and three brothers, Enrique Guerra Jr., Ruben Guerra, and Sergio Guerra, are deceased.
