Grizzell, Carl Edgar, Mrs. (Marie R.)

Gravesides services for Marie Grizzell, 82, of Plainview were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Colquitt Nash officiating. Arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Grizzell died Friday, April 13, 2001.

She was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Northfield and married Carl E. Grizzell April 19, 1941, in Amarillo. He died April 14, 1978.

Mrs. Grizzell moved to Plainview in 1936 and was a volunteer for Covenant Hospital and the Care Inn Nursing Home in Plainview.

She worked in child care, was active in bookkeeping and assisted her husband with Grizzell?s Plumbing in Plainview. She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Kane of Rhome; a son, Carl Ray Grizzell of Corpus Christi; a sister, Margie Dorsett of Plainview; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
