Grimaldo, Ventura M., Mrs. (Romana G.)

Funeral Mass for Romana Grimaldo, 71, were at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Kastee, rector of Christ the King Cathedral of Lubbock, and the Rev. Gerald Kenney, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, officiating.

Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bartley- Silva Funeral Home.

Burial was in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mrs. Grimaldo died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Covenant Hospital Lubbock.

She was born Feb. 28, 1929, in La Visnaga, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

She married Ventura Grimaldo on Oct. 28, 1946, in Mexico.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, a homemaker all of her life and loved to work in her garden and with her flowers.

Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Maria Aldape, Catalina Salazar, Yolanda Garcia, Toni Martinez, Olga Hernandez and Consuelo ?Connie? Vargas, all of Plainview; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
