Griffith, Claud, Mrs. (Mary Etta Royalty)

NORMAN, Okla. ? Funeral services for Mary Etta Griffith, 93, former Plainview resident were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Mrs. Griffith died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, in Norman.

She was born Aug. 1, 1907, in Rotan, Texas, the daughter of Benjamin Bright and Miranda Broome Royalty. She graduated from Rotan High School and owned and operated Griffith Trim Shop in Plainview for 25 years. She moved to Norman in 1980 and worked for Morren?s Draperies, retiring in 1990,

Her husband, Claud, died in 1978.

Survivors include two grandsons, Dr. James C. Griffith II of Norman and Samuel E. Griffith of Tulsa, Okla.; two granddaughters, Gerry E. Griffith of Guthrie, Okla., and Kelly D. Stokes of Norman; and five great-grandchildren.

Four brothers and three sisters are deceased.
