Obituary

Betty Frances Gregory, 75, passed away on Feb. 12, 2010 in Plainview. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Petersburg Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Plainview Church of Christ with John Peck officiating. Services are by Lemons Funeral Home. She was born April 3, 1934, to J.A. and Luna Peggram in Quail, Texas. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1951 and Lippert's Business College in 1952. Her late husband, Harold Gregory, died Oct. 26, 1969. She was the Coordinator of Records for the Plainview Independent School District and retired in 2002. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Plainview. She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Gregory; one brother, Don and Joyce Peggram of Hale Center; three sisters, Dorothy and Ernest Hemphill of Abernathy, Ruby Thomas of Troy, Mo., and Inez and Bob Chambliss of Hobbs, N.M.; caregivers, Jamie and Gary Kerbo; and Schnauzer, Lilly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, J.A. and Luna; brother, Bob Peggram; and nephew, Johnny Hemphill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of preference.
