Gregg, Harry Weldon

Funeral services for Harry Weldon Gregg, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at 11th and Amarillo Church of Christ with J. Henderson, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Gregg died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001, in Plainview.

He was born July 23, 1929, in Littlefield. He moved to Plainview in 1938 and graduated at the age of 13 from Plainview High School where he was valedictorian of his class. He attended Wayland Baptist University for two years and graduated from West Texas State University in 1947. He was a member of the Plainview ISD School Board in the early 1970s and was a farmer and partner in Gregg Seed Farms Inc. He was a member of Second and Beech Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Xylina Gregg of Houston and Quyona Gregg of Dallas; and two brothers, Alvin and Joyce Gregg of Wichita, Kan., and Lowell Gregg of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials to Wayland Baptist University in Plainview.
