Obituary

Funeral services for John B. Green, 83, of Kerrville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Green died Saturday morning, April 17, 2004, at his residence in Kerrville. He was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Annona, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Green. He served in the 90th Infantry Division during World War II with three years in Europe. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Kerrville and a former member of Northside Baptist Church in Plainview. On Jan. 5, 1946, he married Louise Parrish in Plainview. Survivors include his wife of Kerrville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Roy Kauffman of Kerrville, Linda and Jim Skinner of Plainview and Karen and Wayne Wells of Amarillo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy D. and Evelyn Green of Harrisburg, Pa., and Martin E. and Glenda Green of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and three sisters are deceased. Pallbearers will be Brian Payne, Carey Kauffman, Kaylyn Wells, David Green, Ross Skinner and Brent Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Claudia Heisner, Richard Green, Chris Kauffman, Lisa Payne, Misty Hefner, Kristi Williams, Jon Skinner, April Payne, Robert Heisner, Trisha Kauffman, Jason Hefner, Allison Kauffman and Bryan Williams.
