Funeral services for James Gray, 85, of Muleshoe were held on Monday, April 16, in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.W. Raney officiating. Graveside services followed Monday in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Gray was born on Jan. 13, 1927, in Big Spring to R.l. and Mary Bell (Wilcox] Gray. He married Glenda Gepner in Childress on June 14, 1952. They moved to Muleshoe from Plainview in 1960. He worked as a cemetery caretaker, enjoyed gardening and loved his dog. Survivors include his wife ? Glenda Gray of Muleshoe; three sons ? Tommy Gray of Muleshoe, Robert Gray and Paul Gray, both of Dennison; two daughters ? Babara Raney and husband Jerry of Hawley, and Beverly Bennett and husband Will of Dennison; two sisters ? Linda Sheppard and Frances Gallagher, both of Dennison; two brothers ? Wayne Gray of Sherman, and Ronnie Gray of Plainview; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters ? Faye Clark and Mary Callas, and four brothers ? Bill Gray, Gene Gray, Dean Gray and Bobby Gray.
