Obituary

Bettye Jean Graham, 82, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2010, after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer's disease. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Kyle Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Plain?view Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Lemons Funeral Home. Bettye was born to the late Horace L. Masten and Jewel Nicholson Masten on Aug. 20, 1927, in Plainview. She married her husband of 66 years, Marvin L. Graham, on Oct. 30, 1943, in Plainview. Bettye was creative and artistic, loved to paint and, in later years, fostered a love for horticulture. She was a caring and giving person and had a great love for her family. She was also a longtime member of Grace Untied Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Plainview; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and David Ritter of Lubbock; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Richard Adams of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Rashael Shofner and her husband, Shawn, of Lubbock, Dava Robinson and her husband, Jon-Paul, of North Richland Hills, Texas; five beautiful great-grandchildren, Gage Robinson, Tanner Robinson, Parker Gainey, Aubrey Gainey and Addison Shofner; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by one son, Danny Marvin Graham, and one sister, Joy Colene Thomason.
