Obituary

Services for Maxine Gouldy, 79, of Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 in Sanders Memorial Chapel, with the Reverend Paul Crooks officiating. Interment will follow at the Abernathy Cemetery.

Mrs. Gouldy passed away on Feb. 6, 2010.

Maxine was born on July 12, 1930, in Abernathy, Texas, to Lamar and Lucille McKenzie. She attended Texas Tech University and West Texas State College, moving to Lubbock in 1958. Maxine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #877. She was involved in farming and agriculture and also operated the Circus Inn Hotel.

Family members include a brother, Don Lamar McKenzie and wife Janice; nephews, Gary McKenzie and Jimmy McKenzie and wife Jana; niece, Vicky McKenzie; great-nieces, Ashleigh McKenzie Fergerson and husband Michael Fergerson and Jordan McKenzie; great-nephews, Tanner McKenzie and Jace McKenzie, and great-great nephew, Shane Fergerson, all of Lubbock.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home.
