Obituary

James Goswisck, 81, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funerals Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6to 8 p.m. today, April 8, 2014, at the funeral home. James was born June 1, 1932, to Hiram Jack and Ida Mae Goswick in Meridian, Texas. He married Clara Irene Case on Oct. 15, 1955. She preceded him death in 2004. He worked for the City of Plainview for 17 years. He owned and operated Pioneer Oil. James was a 32nd degree Mason with Archie J. Keys Masonic Lodge #1395 and was a member of Scottish Rites. He is survived by his two daughters, Kristi Goswick of Lubbock and Kathi Goswick Gonzalez and husband Paul of Lubbock; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
