Obituary

Graveside services for John William Goss, 54, of Arlington, former Plainview resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Plainview Memorial Park with Wayne Lemons, minister of Ash and Carver Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Goss died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Arlington. He was born July 13, 1950, in Culwell. He moved to Plainview at a young age and graduated from Plainview High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. After his discharge, he returned to Plainview and worked for Excel beefpackers. He moved to Amarillo and then to Arlington in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Chiffon Goss of Amarillo; his mother, Angie Lee Goss of Plainview; three brothers, James, Charles and Henry Goss, all of Plainview; and four sisters, Queenie Braxton of Plainview, Burnice Wright of Arlington, Mary Brooks of Amarillo and Francheria Goss of San Antonio.
