Obituary
Frankie Allene Gordon, 94, of Plainview, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Mark Stoub officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Gordon was born March 19, 1914, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Clarence Franklin and Elsie Webb Elliot. She married Jason O. Gordon on June 5, 1937, in Sweetwater. He passed away on April 15, 1980. They lived in Parmer, Floyd and Lubbock counties where her husband served as county agent. They moved to Plainview in 1950 and formed Rowland-Gordon Farm Chemicals Company with Virgil Rowland. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Mary McCoy Baines chapter of the D.A.R. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jane Martin and her husband, Bobby, of Plainview; one son, Kenneth Richard Gordon and his wife, Pam, of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five nephews; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James Elliot Gordon; her parents, Clarence Franklin and Elsie Webb Elliot; one sister, Vera Elliot Armstrong; and one nephew, Robert Franklin Armstrong.
