Funeral mass for Jesus "Chuy" Gonzalez, 70, of Hart will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Hart with the Rev. Joseph Ravi Gudipalli officiating. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. He died on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Dimmitt. He was born on Aug. 13, 1942, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Fernando and Victoria Gonzalez. He married Alicia L. Lopez on Feb. 25, 1959, in McAllen, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Gonzalez of Hart; five sons: Jesus Gonzalez Jr. and wife Juanita of Dallas, Arnulfo Gonzalez of Hart, Rene Gonzalez and wife Rebecca of Levelland, Modesto Gonzalez and wife Alicia of Sundown, and Rosario Gonzalez and wife Erma of Hart; three daughters, Alicia Guzman and husband Isidro of Bryan, Anita Casanova and husband Edward of Plainview, Elanor Davis and husband Terry of Lubbock; five brothers, Daniel, Rumaldo, Jose, Jose Angel and Guadalupe Gonzalez, all of Oklahoma; two sisters, Maria Teresa Villegas of Oklahoma and Juanita Rosas of Plainview; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
