Funeral services for Maria Leandra Gonzales, 86, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gonzales died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Plainview Healthcare. She was born Feb. 27, 1923, in San Antonio to Juan and Francisca Solis. She married Pedro "Pete" Gonzales on Jan. 1, 1958. He died Dec. 21, 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, Miguel Gonzales of Hereford; two daughters, Beatrice Herrera and Lupe Galvan, both of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband, one stepdaughter, Anita Whitman; two brothers, Miguel Solis and Florencio Solis, and two sisters, Virgilia Landeros and Adela Landeros; are deceased.
