Obituary

Funeral services for Emilio C. Gonzales Jr., 45, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gonzales died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Lubbock. He was born Jan. 27, 1959, in Plainview. He attended Plainview High School and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1995. He worked for Central Plains MHMR as director for rehab services. On Aug. 3, 1985, he married Amelia Medrano in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Erika Michelle Gonzales of Plainview; a son, Matthew Ryan Gonzales of Plainview; his parents, Emilio C. and Eloise Gonzales Sr.; two brothers, Armando Gonzales and Angel Gonzales, both of Plainview; three sisters, Irene Massey, Hope Ochoa and Gracie Padilla, all of Plainview; and one grandchild, Zereck Nathaniel Escalante.
