Obituary

Funeral services for Victor Gomez, 72, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Gomez died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, in Lubbock. He was born March 6, 1937, to Jose and Antonia Gomez in Mertzon. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he sang in the choir. He was retired from Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Survivors include his son, Freddy Gomez of Plainview; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alva and Anastacio Ramos of Plainview, Hilda Ramos of Ballinger and Diana and Rene Limones of Sweetwater; and three sisters, Eloisa Nagar, Amelia Rodriguez and Delfina Hernandez. His parents; one son, Victor Gomez Jr.; two brothers, Antonio Gomez and Jesus Gomez; and one sister, Georgia Arrendondo, are deceased.
