Goff, Bill

No funeral services will be held for Bill Goff, 59. Cremation arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Goff died at 8 a.m. Friday, March 12, 1999, at his residence after an illness.

He was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Sparta, Wis., where he grew up and attended schools. He began working as a truck driver in 1955 and moved to Omaha, Neb., in 1978. He moved to Anderson, Ind., in 1980, to Amarillo in 1992 and to Plainview in 1993. He was a long haul truck driver.

On Jan. 24, 1992, he married Mittie Hembree in Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter and her husband, Celeste and Kirk Smith of Plainview; a brother and his wife James and Karen Goff of Sparta; three sisters and their husbands, Carol and Jerry Laxton, Dawn and Gene Kruks and Sandi and Dean Wegner, all of Sparta; his mother, Leona Goff of Sparta; and one grandchild, Quinten Smith of Plainview.
