Obituary

Funeral services for Opal Mae Glidewell, 86, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Edmonson with Dr. Jimmy Neff, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Cemetery by Agape Funeral Chapel of Lubbock. Mrs. Glidewell died Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Madill, Okla., after a lengthy illness. She was born March 1, 1919, in Kress and was a longtime resident of Edmonson. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Leta and Tom Sullivan of Elm Grove, La.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Eunice Glidewell of Mansville, Okla., and Doyle Glidewell of Plainview; one sister, Rita Coleman; a brother, Bill Simmons; grandchildren Kurenia Olague, Michele Painter, Kelly Huggins, Selina Wilson, Regina Walker, Rhonda Winchester, Nicky Rae, Ross Rae, Chan Glidwell, Tina Beheymer, Tanya Beheymer, Tammy Beheymer, Marcella Glidewell, Russell Glidewell, Shawn Glidewell and Shawnda Glidewell; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
