Funeral services for Norma Gladman, 88, were at 1 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mary Lou Dillon, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Gladman died at 10:49 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, in Gerald Champion Regional Hospital in Alamogordo, N.M. She was born Sept. 5, 1913 in Dimmitt where she grew up and attended schools. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1930 and attended Texas Tech University for two years. She worked for the Federal Land Bank in Dimmitt and moved to Plainview in 1961. She moved to Alamogordo in 1993. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary. In 1939, she married Harold Gladman in Dimmitt. He died in 1989. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Morris Steen of Alamogordo and Gayle and Bob Riley of Marshall; six grandchildren, Mark Steen, Scott Steen, Jill Griffin, Lisa White, Leigh Berglund and Melinda Flemming; and 14 grandchildren. Two brothers and five sisters are deceased.
