Obituary

Funeral services for Daisy Gist, 88, of Abernathy will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2005, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gist died Wednesday, May 11, in Lubbock.

She was born April 30, 1917 in Red River County. She married L.V. Gist Jan. 29, 1938 in Clarksville. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1974. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Billy and Jerry Gist; and a grandson, Greg Gist.

She is survived by a son, Larry Gist of Lubbock; and a sister, Mattie Johnson; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
