Harold Morgan Germany, 85, went home to his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2012. Harold was born June 29, 1926, to John and Hazel Germany in San Angelo, Texas, where he grew up. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing football in school. He enlisted in the Navy on his 18th birthday in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He attained the rank of Seaman First Class during his service before his honorable discharge. Harold worked as a bell hop at the Hilton Hotel in Plainview where he met the love of his life, Teddie Jean Blacksher. They were married 10 days later and celebrated 52 years of marriage before she died Sept. 11, 2004. Of the numerous work positions he held, Harold found his passion in retail. He enjoyed people. For more than 22 years he worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. in Plainview and up until a few years ago he sold automobiles. In retirement he enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He spent his time at various church functions. He was a member of Gideons and participated in a jail ministry and family get-togethers. He loved dancing at church socials. He never missed "The Show." Harold arrived in Heaven just in time to celebrate Teddie's birthday with her in God's kingdom. Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Teddie; his brother, John William Germany; and his mother and father, John and Hazel Germany.
