Obituary

Scott E. Garrett, 47, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Garrett, formerly of Plainview, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, in Milwaukee, of complications from leukemia and bone marrow transplant. He is the nephew of Raby Garrett and Mrs. Larry McBee of Plainview, the late Cal Garrett of Hereford, the late Norma Phinny of Amarillo, Shirley Dean of Lubbock and Sharon Prutzman of Graham. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garrett of Plainview. Scott was associate general counsel and head of litigation and compliance for A.O. Smith Corp. of Milwaukee where he lived with his family, who survive him: his wife, Terry; a son, Jack, 12; a daughter, Audrey, 11; and his parents, Joe and Joan Garrett, now of La Quinta, Calif. Before joining A.O. Smith in Milwaukee, Scott was associate general counsel for litigation for Caterpillar Corp, in Peoria, Ill.
