Garibay, Raul

HALE CENTER- Funeral Mass for Raul Garibay, 61, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Theresa Catholic Church with the Rev. David Cruz, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Garibay died early today, Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Jan. 29, 1939, in Buckholts. He moved to the Hale Center area in 1951 and farmed for many years.

He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

On March 6, 1960, he married Florita Luevano in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arnold Garibay of Hale Center and Raul Garibay Jr, of Lubbock; two daughters, Sylvia Garibay Ortiz and Leticia Garibay, both of Hale Center; a brother, Alfred Garibay of Lubbock; three sisters, Clementina Gonzalez of Waco, Elidia Gonzalez of Marlin and Estalla Esparza of Hale Center.
