Funeral mass for Olivia N. Garcia, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenny, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Garcia died at 5:15 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Knickerbocker, she grew up around the San Angelo area and moved to Plainview in the early 1940's. She was a homemaker and later was a nursing aide.

She had worked for Heritage Home for 27 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the Guadalupanas and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

On March 6, 1944, she married Salomon Garcia in Clovis, N.M. He died at Sept. 23, 1996.

Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Soliz Barrera and Esther Flores, both of Plainview; four sons, Gilbert Garcia of San Marcos, Joe Louis Garcia, Leopoldo Garcia and Rudy Joe Garcia, all of Plainview; a brother, Leo Nanez of San Angelo; two sisters, Lupe Chavez and carmen Ramirez, both of San Angelo; a step-sister, Catherine Davila of Dallas; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, Beatrice Garcia and Margaret Hipolito; a brother, George Nanez and a stepsister, Sara Nanez, are deceased.
