Obituary

Roy Garcia, 41, of Plainview died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. Funeral Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the funeral home. Roy was born Nov. 22, 1967, in Lockney, Texas, to Reynaldo and Antonia Garcia. He was a lifelong resident of Plainview and was employed by Furniture Expressions. He is survived by his parents, Reynaldo and Antonia Garcia of Plainview; two brothers, Raul Garcia and Lisa Gray of Fort Worth and Roberto Garcia of Plainview; six sisters, Ida Mata and husband, Alfredo, of Lubbock, Delma Gonzales and husband, Pedro, of Plainview, Hilda Ochoa and husband, Alejandro, of McAllen, Melva Garcia and husband, Oscar, of Plainview, Toni Garcia and husband, Johnny, of Plainview and Rachel Enriquez and husband, Jose, of Kingwood; and a special niece, Shelly Rangel.
