Funeral Mass for Carmen Garcia, 80, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Garcia died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, in Plainview. She was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Goliad to Servero and Victoria Perez. She married Oscar S. Garcia on June 12, 1954, in Beeville. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include four sons, Oscar Garcia Jr. and wife Esperanza of New Deal, Leonel Garcia and wife Marcela of Plainview, Robert Garcia of Waco and James Garcia and wife Brenda of Plainview; two daughters, Janie Cantu and husband David of Plainview and Carmen Garcia and Keith Lovell of Plainview; four brothers, Servero Perez Jr. of Plainview, Able Perez and Rudy Perez, both of Beeville, and Rey Perez of Houston; three sisters, Endina Burkett of Beeville, Ofelia Perez of Mathis and Abelia Salazar of Victoria; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, Pablo, Rosendo, Enriquez and Jose Perez; and one sister, Maria Garcia. Online condolences may be made at [email protected]"
