Garcia, Jose Antonio

PETERSBURG- Funeral services for Jose Antonio Garcia, 8, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ignacio Soto Jr. pastor of Templo Sinai in Plainview, officiating.

Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by White Funeral Home.

The youth died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, in a swimming accident in Petersburg.

He was born Nov. 11 1990, in Petersburg where he attended elementary school.

Survivors include his parents, Raul and Catalina Garcia of Petersburg; six brothers, Santos Barrientos, Raul Garcia Jr., Marcos Garcia, Pablo Garcia, Carlos Garcia and Frankie Garcia, all of Petersburg; three sisters, Carmen Garcia, Lupe Garcia and Ida Garcia all of Petersburg, and his grandmother, Petra Barrientos of Petersburg.

His body will be at the church at 9a.m. Wednesday.
