Obituary

Funeral services for Guadalupe Garcia, 48, will be at a later date by the Garcia family. Cremation arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Garcia died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born June 15, 1959, in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include her ex-husband, Ismael Garcia of Plainview; one son, Ismael Garcia Jr. of Plainview; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeannette and Freddy Garcia and Rosemary Garcia, all of Hale Center; two brothers, Arturo Valdez of Mexico and Lorenzo Valdez of Eagle Pass; two sisters, Elizabeth Pacheco of North Carolina, and Maria Delores Valdez of Mexico; and three grandchildren.
