Garcia, Estevan Angel

Funeral services for Estevan Angel Garcia, 69, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glen Godsey, associate director of Mission of the Caprock Plains Area, and the Rev. Pedro Villarreal, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Primera in Lockney, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Garcia died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Covenant Hospital Plainview.

He was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Odem. He was a retired self-employed painter and carpenter. He also had worked for Brown &Root, Higginbotham-Bartlett Co., Coca-Cola, Plains Co-op Oil Mill, and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of Templo Bautista.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Garcia of Long Beach, Calif., and Lupe Garcia of Plainview; two sons, Robert and Ricardo Garcia, both of Plainview; and a sister, Maria Perez of Colorado.

Pallbearers will be Ricardo, Chris, Eric, Laura, and Gilbert Garcia and Ray Sanchez.

The family suggests memorials to Missions of the Caprock Plains Baptist Area Center c/o Rev. Glen E. Godsey.
