Obituary

Funeral services for Saturnina Andrea Garcia, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Augustine Cantu, a deacon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Garcia died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at her residence. She was born Nov. 3, 1927, in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. On Feb. 10, 1944, she married Castulo Garcia Sr. in Mexico. He died Nov. 14, 1974. Survivors include five daughters, Juanita Garcia and Louisa Padilla, both of Plainview, Ignacia Conteno of Friona, Maria Elena Martinez of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Remedios Lucio of Dumas; two sons, Guillermo and Castulo Garcia Jr., both of Plainview; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The body will be at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
