Obituary

Julia Gallardo, 77, of Plainview passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. Gallardo was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Hale Center, Texas, to Jake and Adela Baca Jaramillo. She worked for Coca-Cola for 18 years and later worked for Vick's Cleaners. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo and loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gloria Graham of Temple, Mary DeLuna of Austin, Betty Gallardo of Plainview, Lee Gallardo Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Plainview and David Gallardo and wife, Brenda, of Austin; her grandchildren, Gina Gallardo-Rodriguez and husband Ismael Rodriguez Sr., Lori Gallardo and husband Daniel Holguin, Christopher Gallardo Sr. and wife Laura, Michael DeLuna and Louisa Flores, Robbie DeLuna and wife Susan, Julie Anne Navarro, Jennifer Hernandez, Meghan Gallardo, Gregg Gallardo and Michelle Gallardo; her great-grandchildren, Melissa and Eric DeLuna, Joel and Breann Gallardo, Meghan Vela, Pascual Holguin, Ivan and Gia Rodriguez, Evan and Christopher Gallardo Jr., Isabella and Justine Gallardo, Brittany, Robbie Joe and Zachary DeLuna, Emily, Alison and Sara Navarro and Kade Hernandez; and one great-great-grandchild on the way, Addison Marie Cortez.
