Obituary

Funeral services for Corina Gallardo, 65, were at 1 p.m. today in La Primera Iglesia Bautista in Plainview with the Rev. Glen E. Godsey, associate director of missions for the Caprock-Plains Baptist Area, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Gallardo died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, in Arlington. She was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Hale Center to Mary Sierre and Paul L. Rogers. She worked for more than 20 years in food service at Estacado Junior High School Cafeteria, retiring in 2002 and moving to Grand Prairie. She was an active member of La Primera Iglesia Bautista. Survivors include two daughters, Lorina Favela of Grand Prairie and Delores Rodriguez of Irving; one son, Fidel Alonzo Gallardo of Ardmore, Okla.; one brother, Johnny Rogers of Plainview; her mother Mary Rogers of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A daughter, Delores Barrera, and her father, Paul Rogers, are deceased.
