Obituary

Rosary for Ramona Galaviz, 96, of Abernathy will be at 7 p.m. today at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel in Lubbock.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. David R. Cruz officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday Dec. 4, 2002.

She was born Aug. 14, 1906, in Reynosa Diaz, Mexico. She married Luciano Galaviz Sr. in June 1926 in Alamo. He died Dec. 15, 1999. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She is preceded in death by a daughter and two sons.

Survivors include four sons, Jose, Ramon and Luciano, all of Lubbock, and Armando of Idalou; four daughters Micaela Villegas of Abernathy, Lola Rojas of Texico, N.M., Maria Nava of Lubbock and Connie Castillo of Tarzana, Calif.; 40 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; and 39 great-great-grandchildren.
