Frye, Walter, Mrs. (Eleanor Lynette Green)

Funeral services for Eleanor Lynette Green Frye, 85, of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Connie Nieto, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Frye died at 11:40 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2000, in Covenant Hospital in Plainview.

She was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Greencastle, Mo., and moved to Plainview in 1915. In 1932, she graduated from Plainview High School where she was elected Best All Around Girl her senior year. She was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church and was its first church historian.

She married Walter Frye Aug. 27, 1932, in Sayre, Okla.

Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe Billy and Peggy Frye of Plainview; two sisters, Shirley Brownlee and Margaret Foust of Plainview; two sisters-in-law, Adell Green of Lubbock and Johnnie Fay Green of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Jeanne Carolyn Gaither, died March 10, 1994.
