Funeral services for Elmer "Frosty" Freese Jr., 66, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Ron Brunson, pastor of Cowboy Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Freese died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. He was born June 2, 1941, to Elmer George Freese Sr. and Nettie Chiddix. He was a farmer and owned MF Cattle Feeders. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cowboy Church, was a 4-H adult leader and a livestock project leader, was a member of Young Farmers Association and served on the board of directors of Hale County Farm Bureau. He dressed up like Santa Claus for the kids on the Laidlaw bus. He married Margaret Dendy and June 20,1963, in Petersburg. Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Vondal Burnett of Plainview; a sister, Betty Adams of Plainview; two grandchildren, Vondal Tyler Burnett and Rebecca Bryan Burnett; and four extended sons, Lee Miks, Sean Hunter, Lynn Borchardt and Jimmy Don Tyler. The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
