Freeman, Mary Joyce

LUBBOCK ? Funeral services for Mary Joyce Freeman, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lubbock Primitive Baptist Church with Elder George Johnson, pastor, and Gary Flinn of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Chapel of Angels Funeral Home of Lubbock

Mrs. Freeman died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Lubbock County. She graduated from New Deal High School in 1947 and from Texas Tech in 1952 with a bachelor of science degree in home economics. She was a returned to Lubbock in 1990 from Presidio.

Survivors include three sons, Dale Freeman of Abilene, Leon Freeman of Lohn and Jesse Freeman of Lubbock; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Priestley of Plymouth, Minn.; three sisters, Vee Flinn and Wilda Myers, both of Lubbock and Donnell King of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, W.R. Randell Flinn of Abernathy; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial s to Lubbock Primitive Baptist Church, 1601 44th St., Lubbock, TX 79412; Hospice of Lubbock or to The American Cancer Society.
