Obituary

Charlie Fraga Sr., 87, of Plainview passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Lubbock. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview with Father Samuel Oracion as the officiant. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Charlie was born July 2, 1923, in Marlin, Texas, to Pedro and Pauline Martinez Fraga. Charlie and Ora Martinez Fraga were married in Marlin in 1948. Ora preceded him in death in October 1999. Charlie was an extremely hard worker and farmed in West Texas all of his life. He loved to play dominoes when he wasn't working. He retired in 1997. Charlie attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Jane, and her husband, Sonny Musquiz, of Plainview; son, Charlie Fraga Jr. of Lubbock; his mother, Pauline Fraga of Waco; grandchildren, Rebecca and Gabriel Rodriguez, Israel and Linda Musquiz, Jon and Kory Musquiz, Nicholas Fraga, Michael and Rachel Fraga and Joshua Fraga; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters; five brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
