Obituary

Funeral services for Lola Summers Fox, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel Baptist Church with Q.D. Bevill, pastor, and John A. Terrell of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Fox died Saturday July 1, 2006, at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses, Kan. She was born on April 21, 1916 in Bell County to George and Elizabeth Baty Summers. She married Johnnie P. Fox, Jan. 21, 1939. He died Feb. 24, 1991. They moved to Plainview in 1940. She worked at Plainview High School cafeteria for 32 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 63 years. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Neatta Ozborn of Ulyssas, Kan., Carolyn and Jackie Alvis of Plainview and Thelma and Elbert Sammann of Amarillo; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie P. Fox Jr. and his wife Sharon of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Online condonlences may be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com
