Obituary

Funeral services for Craig A. Foster, 42, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe Weldon, interim pastor of South Plains Baptist, and the Rev. A.C. Hamilton, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mr. Foster died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at his residence in Buffalo Springs. He was born Oct. 17, 1959, in Bryan. He grew up in Plainview and attended Plainview High School. He played on the district championship football team in 1978. He worked for McDonald?s Trading Post for 22 years and moved to Buffalo Springs in 1996. On Aug. 26, 1995, he married Gwen Wolverton in Sunrise Beach. She died Aug. 5, 2001. Survivors include a son, Steven Foster of Buffalo Springs; his parents, Carroll
and Margaret Foster of Plainview; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Kay and Jim Stanton and Sue Curtis, all of Plainview and Connie Moody of Old Hickory, Tenn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Lynda Foster of Plainview; four stepchildren, Mary Jo Overacre of Plainview, Desirae and Babe Ruth Lockaby, both of Sunrise Beach, and Chuck Overacre of Twin Falls, Idaho; and two step-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Terry Noel, Ernest Patty, Herman Lindeman, Karnald Kersh, David Allen and Buddy Cline. The family suggests memorials to College Heights Baptist Church, 802 Quincy, Plainview, TX 79072.
