Obituary

Funeral services for Betty Finch Foster, 82, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Garland Street Church of Christ with J.W. Hamby and Larry Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Plain?view Memorial Park under the direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Foster died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, in Princeton, Texas. She was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Quanah to Walter and Dessie Gist Stephens. She attended school in Childress where she married A.T. Finch in January 1942 and where they owned Village Pastries. He died in 1976. She married Jack Straw, who also died, then married Ben Foster in 1997. Survivors include her husband; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Dudley Lynch of Florida and Kay and Roland Hale of Hutto; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Nancy Finch of Princeton; two sisters, Emma Lee of Paducah and Peggy Norman of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Amber Finch, and two brothers, Walter Stephens Jr. and Billy Stephens, are deceased. Memorial donations may be made to Garland Street Church of Christ Benevolence Fund.
