Flores, Jose, Mrs. (Maria Diaz)

Funeral Mass for Maria Flores, 70,will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Kenney, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Flores died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, in Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center.

She was born June 2, 1931, in Mexico. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas.

On Aug, 22, 1946, she married Jose Flores in Edinburg.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Gloria F. Guerra and Suzy Galvan, both of Amarillo, and Sylvia F. Bustamante and Rosie Rios, both of Fort Worth; four sons, Jose Luis Flores of Brownwood, Jerry Flores and Jaimie Flores, both of Plainview, and Julio Antonio Flores of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Julio Diaz of Dinuba, Calif., and Everado Diaz of Pharr; 33 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

One son, Juan Manuel Flores, is deceased.
