Flatt, James W.

Levelland ? Funeral services for James W. Flatt, 47, former Plainview resident, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Resthaven?s Abbey Chapel with Chaplain Elizabeth Abraham, of Hospice of Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Parklawn Memorial Garden by Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Flatt died Saturday afternoon in Wolfforth.

He was born Sept. 29, 1952 in Plainview where he grew up and attended schools. He had been employed by the oil field industry since 1980 and lived on the South Plains all his life. He was a Baptist.

On June 24, 1969, he married Shirley Burton in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Paul Flatt of Lubbock; one daughter, Michelle Rosales of Wolfforth; two brothers, G.W. and Charles ?Butch? Flatt, both of Amarillo; a sister, Patricia DeArmond of Atlanta, Ga., and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, the American Cancer Society, or to a favorite charty.
